Olivia Dobbs is a flutist and woodwind doubler based in Milwaukee, WI. She is a freelance performer and educator, specializing in classical, New Music, Broadway, and pop styles. Whether touring in the pit for a musical, ad-libbing behind the mic in a Riverwest dive bar, trilling through a cadenza in front of an orchestra, or live-scoring a silent film screening, Olivia is an equally surefooted and engaging performer.
Ever the curious collaborator, Olivia can be seen performing around the Midwest with Milwaukee's DIY Chamber Music, Brew City Big Band, and in many regional theater productions. Public outreach is another important facet of Olivia's career--she volunteers as a sound engineer and panelist for Girls Rock MKE, and is a vocal proponent of classical music and the arts. Olivia teaches instrumental music at Tamarack Waldorf School, and additionally maintains a small private studio. She also plays in the Milwaukee bands WAVY V and Neidhoefer.
