Olivia Dobbs is a flutist and woodwind doubler based in Milwaukee, WI. She is a freelance performer and educator, specializing in classical, New Music, Broadway, and pop styles. Whether touring in the pit for a musical, ad-libbing behind the mic in a Riverwest dive bar, trilling through a cadenza in front of an orchestra, or live-scoring a film screening, Olivia is an equally surefooted and engaging performer.
Ever the curious collaborator, Olivia can be seen performing around the Midwest with the Milwaukee Philharmonic, DIY Chamber Music, North Coast Midwest Winds, Brew City Big Band, and in many regional theater productions. Public outreach is another important facet of Olivia's career--she volunteers as a sound engineer and panelist for Girls Rock MKE, and is a vocal proponent of classical music and the arts. Olivia teaches instrumental music at Tamarack Waldorf School. She also plays in the Milwaukee bands Neidhoefer and WAVY V.
